Three quick thoughts (4/11/11)

Rattlers 3 @ Kernels 1

Boxscore | Game Story

  • Carlos George was OUTSTANDING today. That is the way you play!  From now on! That! Is! HOW! YOU! PLAY!
  • Robbie Garvey was 3-for-3 on Monday. He was 2-for-4 on Sunday. 5-for-7 w/ 3 runs and 2 RBI. That may have been overlooked.
  • I don’t think I gave Tyler Thornburg’s move to first justice. You’re chance to see it will be – weather permitting – Saturday afternoon at Time Warner Cable Field. Game time is 1:05pm against Peoria.

Long day today. But, worth it.  Back at it tomorrow. Maybe with a few surprises.  Need to find all those interviews.

Note. Due to some computer issues, a rough draft of this post went up for about 10 seconds.  There was a comparison of George to Oswaldo Navarro, a member of the Rattlers in 2004 and 2005.  Navarro struggled offensively in ’04, was sent down to Everett and hit extremely well, came back in ’05 and was one of the key parts of the Rattlers drive to the Championship Series.  I took it out, because the comparison wasn’t exact due to Navarro never really struggling defensively as George did last season with the Rattlers.  There.  I have overexplained an edit that you may not have even seen.

That’s how I roll.

Great W to start the away schedule!

Did you just go Bad Boys Will Smith on Carlos George?🙂

And not to knit pick, but I believe there is a little known codicil in the Timber Rattlers bylaws that requires anyone speaking of the ’05 team to mention one Matthew P. Tuiasosopo.

And finally, I’ve consulted with Horacio The Snow Hating Heron and he says even for NE Wisconsin Saturday is too late for any degree of snow showers!
