Postgame Thoughts (July 30, 2011)

• Need to keep this short.  The team bus got in at 3am today and I was in early – “relatively” early.
• My favorite part of that highlight video is the Burlington shortstop’s reaction to Walker being called safe on the double.
• And he was safe.
• There were a couple of early opportunities there for the Rattlers tonight.
• In the words of someone else, “Stang stung the ball tonight”.
• Stang went 3-for-3 with two doubles and a walk
• Speaking of stinging the ball, take a look at the triple by Shaw in the highlights.
• Rosario had some ridiculous stuff tonight.  Ridiculous. Stuff.
• Stupid weather.  At least the storm blew threw quickly and the game started.
• The grounds crew and just about everyone else in the front office did a great job getting the tarp on in quickly deteriorating conditions.
• They got the tarp on after the game tonight as a “just in case” (At least, I hope it’s a “just in case”).  It’s scheduled to come off the field at 7am.
• Gotta run. Quick sleep and a lot to do.  Get ‘em in the afternoon.
