Postgame thoughts (July 31, 2011)

Burlington 5, Wisconsin 3
Boxscore | Game Story

  • Nice work by the bullpen today.  Good to see Holle back in form, Britt get back in action, and Williams back on track.
  • Ramirez showing off some of that power.  Dude, that home run in the ninth was……titanic.
  • Sorry about that.
  • Stang with better routes on fly balls today.  A couple of very nice catches in the highlights.
  • Tough third inning as Bashara got the first two outs, but the next two reached and AJ Kirby-Jones homered.
  • Tougher fourth inning as the Rattlers got two runners on with no outs and did not score
  • Toughest sixth inning as the Rattlers loaded the bases with no outs and did not score
  • Not much to comment on today and kind of a downer post.
  • So how about a little something that my programming tells me is what you humans call “adorable”.
