Postgame Thoughts (August 3, 2011)
Rattlers 2, LumberKings 1 (12 innings)
Boxscore | Game Story
- Brooks Hall with seven quality starts in 13 starts this season.
- He worked very well today & jammed a lot of LumberKings hitters.
- For the record, Hall today: 6IP, 3H, 0R, BB, 2K
- Hall’s last two games: 12IP, 8H, 2R, ER, 2BB, 12 Ks
- Rosario and Holle both looked very good as well.
- Great to see Holle getting back on track. His two scoreless today followed 2-2/3 scoreless his last time out.
- I think that catch by Rogers up in the highlights was within 10 minutes of this catch by Prince Fielder.
- Struck me as a little cool.
- Did you know…Nick Shaw reached base five times today?
- Did you know…Nick Shaw has scored 65 runs this season? He’s tied for 5th in the league in runs.
- Greg Hopkins kept plugging away today and when he got another chance he lined a single to drive in Shaw with the winning run.
- That’s two walk-offs in the last three days AND a three game winning streak for the Rattlers.
- The Rattlers rudely welcomed John Taylor to the Midwest League.
- The starting pitcher for the LumberKings on Thursday is Roenis Elias.
- Elias, too, will be making his MWL Debut tomorrow. Elias defected from Cuba some time last year.
- Our old friend Jay Yencich has a few details from May and a link.
