Postgame Thoughts (August 7, 2011)
Rattlers 7. Cougars 6
Boxscore | Game Story
- Do you think I am kidding when I write that this Rattlers team will not give up?
- How about THAT comeback in the sixth inning.
- A couple of walks. Starting the runners to stay out of the double play
- A bloop, an error, another bloop, and another error
- Then, Romero’s single was just out of the reach of the second baseman to knock in the go ahead runs
- Jason Rogers with situational hitting and gets two more RBI. He’s knocked in at least one run in five of his last six games
- Also, there was a scoring change after the game. Rogers will not be charged with an error in the second inning.
- Nick Shaw extends his hitting streak to 14 games with a single
- Greg Hopkins with the D-FENCE! D-FENCE! in the eighth.
- No! Really! look at this picture:
- Well, how about this one:

See! Hopkins uniform is dirty. Like he dove for a ball! See! Click for the larger image and you'll see.
- Nelson’s Line: 4.2IP, 9H, 5R, 2BB, 2K. Unofficially: 75 pitches (47 strikes).
- Casey Medlen gets his first pro win.
- Alan Willams gets the defensive help in the eighth and works around the leadoff runner in the ninth getting on after a strikeout.
- Very nice win today by the Rattlers.
- Eric Arnett on the hill tomorrow to try to keep it going.
