UPDATE:  Saturday’s game has been rained out.  It will not be made up.  Next game is at 2:00pm on Sunday afternoon.

Rattlers and Snappers rained out in Beloit

BELOIT, WI – Saturday’s Midwest League game between the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and Beloit Snappers at Pohlman Field has been rained out. The game will not be made up on the schedule.

Rain began to fall in Beloit around 11:00am on Saturday morning. The rain had not stopped when the Rattlers arrived at the ballpark in the afternoon and was forecast to continue well past the scheduled 7:00pm start time. The game was called a little before 5:00pm.

Wisconsin and Beloit will play a single game on Sunday afternoon at Pohlman Field. Eric Arnett (0-, 4.70) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Timber Rattlers. Beloit has either Michael Tonkin (3-3, 4.13) or A.J. Achter (5-7, 4.66) as their scheduled starting pitcher. Game time is 2:00pm.

Tune in for the broadcast on AM 1280, WNAM starting with the Miller Lite Pregame Show at 1:40pm.

I am going to put this up here for right now because the weather in Beloit is – to put it mildly – BLECH.

No severe thunderstorms or wind like everyone in Northeastern Wisconsin had on Friday.  BUT, this was the view from my hotel room door around 1:30 this afternoon.

And I wonder, still I wonder who'll stop the rain?

No lineup yet.  The team won’t get here for another half hour.  There was no need to get here early due to the rain and the lack of an indoor hitting cage.  When I get it, I will update the post with the Rattlers lineup.

Rafael Neda, Brooks Hall, & Jimmy Nelson have been transferred to the roster of the AZL Brewers.

Tony Pechek, Mike Brownstein, & Mike Walker have been activated from the DL
