Fifty years ago, Appleton Professional Baseball joined the Midwest League. As part of 50 Years in 50 Days, Rattler Radio is counting down to April 5 with a look back at each season of Appleton Professional Baseball team since 1962 (with a lot of help from MWLGuide.com and baseball-reference.com). The countdown to Opening Day, 2012 has reached five.

2007 MWL Season:
There was a big change. The Southwest Michigan Devil Rays were sold. They were moved to Midland, Michigan and were christened the Great Lakes Loons. Oh, and they changed their affiliation to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

2007 MWL All-Star Game:
Kane County hosted the game on June 19. The East won 7-1. The Timber Rattlers were represented by a pair of relief pitchers: Andy Barb & Joe Kantakevich.
