Championship Numbers
First, here is the new Mehring Monday with some memories of moments from the Championship run.
Second, here is the document of the Timber Rattlers 2012 Playoff stats.
Wisconsin hit .214 as a team in their nine playoff games
Opponents hit .191 against Wisconsin pitchers.
Nick Ramirez had nine hits in the playoffs – a single, four doubles, and four home runs. He led the team in average (.310), homers (4), RBI (10), walks (8), and HBP (2). That all leads to a OBP of 487, and an OPS of 1.349. Small sample size or not, that is pretty impressive.
Third, here is the document with a breakdown of runs by inning, the pitching, and the defense: Timber Rattlers 2012 Playoff Breakdowns
Highlights from the last document:
Rafael Neda was .500 (4-for-8) in throwing out base stealers
Wisconsin outscored opponents 14-0 in the fourth inning during the playoffs
Starting pitchers had a K:BB ratio of 51:11 in 64 innings
