Tater Tuesday: Ron Garth (2006-2008)

Welcome to Tater Tuesday on the blog. Each week I’ll take a look at home runs or – as the Great George Scott called them – taters. Usually, this will be home runs by a Timber Rattlers player.

Ron Garth was a Timber Rattlers infielder during the 2006, 2007, and 2008 seasons. He led the team in homers with ten in 2006. He hit eight homers in 2007 and tied for second on the team despite playing in just 48 games. He also hit a home run in five consecutive games that season. Garth played in 88 games during the 2008 season, but hit just four homers that season. Garth hit a total of 22 home runs in his career with the Timber Rattlers.

Here is a look at the home runs of Ron Garth as a Wisconsin Timber Rattler. I will admit that I used the phrase “Party on, Garth!” a time or two when he hit home runs.
