Jerseys of the Rattlers – 2010 Brewers Sunday

The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers have worn many jerseys since 1995. There have been throwbacks, pinks, camouflage, batting practice, sleeveless, the regular ones that were worn for most games, and a few that you may have forgotten. This feature is to take a look at those jerseys.

The 2010 Timber Rattlers continued the tradition of Brewers Sunday by wearing jerseys based on their parent club.  The 1982 road jerseys the inspiration this season.  They were a big hit.

Here’s what the originals looked like.

The first thing…Pinstripes aren’t popular among some people around these parts, so the Home jerseys were out.  Also, “Timber Rattlers” wouldn’t have looked right on the pinstriped home jerseys.  So, the road jerseys were selected so that “Wisconsin” could be used on the front.

The gold highlights around the letters and numbers makes that darker blue pop a bit more.

Here’s a better look at that patch and the best logo in Brewers history…NO ONE DENIES THIS!

You may notice in this picture that the team went away from the pale blue socks and went to the darker hue.  It seems…off to me at least.

I don’t know what that coach is pointing at in this next picture.

Lots of blue.

The protective fence wasn’t up in 2010.

And the traditional national anthem photo.

For the anthem.

Can you named the Timber Rattlers in this picturee anthem.

I believe that 2010 was the first year that the team had a live auction after the final Sunday home game of the year.  In 2009, the silent auction was the tool used to let fans try to win their favorite jersey.  That all changed…for the better.

I’ll close this post with some photos of the players, the jerseys, and those who had the winning bid.

The kid holding that jersey loves it.

The questions here are: Did these fans wear this Khris Davis jersey home or did they put it in a frame the next day or did they wear it for a couple of years and put it in a frame after he made the big leagues last year?

I'm guessing it's in a frame now.
