Hilary Bauer is the new onfield host for the Timber Rattlers. She took over the tour guide duties for Renovation Update: Episode 18 while I was in Arizona for Spring Training.
The episode is below.
I did manage to get over there for a few pictures on Wednesday. Where to start….where to start???
Admit it. You knew this was where I would start.
Now, to the part of the renovations you want to see:
Inside Suite #2
This old photos are a nice touch:
That’s Boog Powell from 1960.
A shot of Goodland Field from left field.
A shot of Goodland Field’s third base stands.
The club seats are installed! The club seats are installed!
Inside the club level.
By special request, here is the new locker room for the coaching staff.
This is the old weight room. It is now a player lounge.
There’s a sign that will grab your attention!
And now, Hilary Bauer’s debut on Renovation Update:
I just want to state that it was snowing when we shot the video and photos on Monday. At the very moment that I write this post, it is not snowing.
A little news. This is my final Renovation Update video. I will be in Arizona from March 21 through March 26. Hilary Bauer, the new onfield host for the Timber Rattlers, will be taking over for Episode 18 as we get closer and closer to completion of this project.
Inside Suite #1.
A look from outside Suite #1.
A look at the club level from the end of the third base concourse. Pay no attention to the snowflakes.
My favorite part of this picture is that piece just below the peak of the roof that is shaped like the Timber Rattler logo.
In the video this week, banquet facility, concessions, restrooms, suites, home radio booth, and ticket windows….not necessarily in that order.
I just happened to be over at the stadium today and I saw something wonderful that needed to be shared before we shot the next video update.
The tarp has been taken down from some of the upper level.
Here’s a view from the mound.
Here’s a look from inside the banquet facility.
A view from the club seats.
A look at the outside seating for the club level.
This is the view from the club seats from directly behind home plate.
We’ll have video and more photos next week. Have a great weekend, everyone! Think Spring!
Just like last week. Pictures first. Video second.
If you’ll indulge me, here is my new apartment…I mean, home radio booth.
Home Radio booth
This is the new bullpen area. Bullpen as in “area for office workers” not as in “place for pitchers to warm up before entering a game”.
Inside the main office.
If you look to the right when you are near the front of the stadium, you will see the new entrance to the front office.
Front office entrance.
If you look to the left from the same spot, you will see the new team store.
Team store entrance.
And here is the view from one of the upstairs camera platforms:
Let’s get this snow out of here!
In the meantime, here is the video:
This week: Photos AND video!
First the pictures:
An overall view from the camera platform beyond the centerfield wall.
View from the club level near suite 3
The entrance has a roof! Hopefully this means that it will never rain while you are standing in line.
And the traditional shot of the front entrance.
Now, the video brings it all together with views of some areas that have not been seen before this episode:
We have video!
Video from the suites. Video from the Club level. Video from the Team Store. Video from the home radio booth. Video from the weight room
I think that we will have video next week!
For now, photos.
Reception is taking shape.
A look out the window.
And he WALKED on down the HALL!
And he came to…an area that will be known as the bullpen.
Let’s go upstairs, shall we?
Inside Suite One
Inside Suite Three
Inside Suite Four
Field view from where the seats outside Suite Four will be.
I took this from the spot where the walk-in freezer in the kitchen for the suite level will be.
Team Store! Now with WINDOWS and DOORS!
Full concourse today? Full concourse every day.
My booth. It’s covered in plastic.
This week’s view from the front.
Why not start with the shot with the most interest? Let’s go!
This is the view you will have from the outside seats on the club level….except for the wire. That will be gone…the snow will be gone, too.
The drywall is up in Suite Four.
This is from where the seats outside Suite Four will be. You can see into Suited Five & Six.
Inside the expanded concession stand at the end of the third base concourse.
And the view from the outside.
And this is inside the expanded Brew City Grill at the end of the First Base Concourse.
A look inside the Boss’s office.
The is the view of the reception area from the reception desk.
Paint in the team store.
This is the new weight room for the team. The floor has been poured. Hope it was okay to walk on it.
The view from the beach.
And the view from the front of the stadium.
Lots to get to today. Drywall! Insulation! Concrete! SNOW! Let’s go!!!
This is the view from what will be my office.
The suite level is a hive of activity.
The walls are going up for suites four, five, and six.
This is a door to the kitchen on the upper level.
They did that on purpose.
Hey! There’s no beer in here! It’s just the third base concession stand.
Speaking of concession stands….This one at the end of the first base concourse is getting improvements, too.
Did I mention that it snowed on Wednesday?
The work area in the front office.
Here’s a different view of the front office.
First photo of the new weight room for the players. There will be lights in here.
Here’s another look at the old suites.
And the view from the font.
