The 2-0 Timber Rattlers play the 0-2 Peoria Chiefs today at 1:00 pm CDT.  I shouldn’t mention this for fear of those back in the Fox Cities wanting to wish harm to me….BUT…a high of 68° is forecast for Peoria today.  Chance for rain later in the afternoon, too….if that makes you feel better.

Here’s a post to get you ready for Game #3 of the 2013 season.

I am still working on the logistics of the This Date in Timber Rattlers history post.  So, this seems like a good spot to fit it in until that gets done.

APRIL 4 – The Timber Rattlers have played just three games on April 4 in their history.

1997 – The Rattlers lose 1-0 on Opening Day at West Michigan.
2002 – The Rattlers win 3-1 on Opening Day at Beloit.
2003 – The Rattlers had their second straight home game with Beloit postponed by snow.
2008 – The Rattlers lose 4-3 at Quad Cities in a delayed Opening Day.  Nathan Adcock was the starting pitcher for the Timber Rattlers and allowed two unearned runs over five innings, but Quad Cities came back for the win.
