A sure sign that the season is getting closer to the start…The Cleaning Crew is pressure washing around the ballpark:
I need to get one of those for the trailer at home.
And the shot from the usual spot:
The new benches are going in the dugouts.
And, the temperature is rising. There is a little patch of green in right-center. I heard a rumor about 50s by the weekend. Pictures on the progress of the melting snow as the days go by.
The new hitting background has been put in place.
The new plaza in front of the stadium is almost done.
Here is a shot of the ticket window side.
And a shot of the Snake Pit Team Store side. There is to be some new lighting and some new electrical work that still needs to be put in before this project is complete.
This plaza will make the front of the stadium look a lot nicer. The alternative was to keep those grassy areas that usually turn brown by July.
There is a crew doing work on the expansion of the hitting background, too.
Welding! They are welding!!
No. No snow covering the outfield. Thank, DiMaggio.
Instead here are a couple of pictures of an improvement project going on at Time Warner Cable Field.
What do you think that could be?
There are a few projects around the ballpark that are moving right along.
The first thing you will notice as you approach the stadium is the new brickwork going down in place of the grass.
This is the spot in front of the pro shop. There is a similar spot going in over on the side of the ticket windows.
You may not notice it right away next season, but the players will see that there are new benches in the dugouts.
Obviously not finished yet.
