Mike Walker doesn’t hit a baseball. The baseball is so scared of being hit by Mike Walker and it flies as far away from him as possible before he can make contact.
@Kernels 6, Rattlers 4
Three quick thoughts
- Cody Hawn is on the toughest 0-for-12 I have seen in a long time. An E-7 should have been a double in the 5th and he scalded a liner deep to center in the 7th on Monday night. On Tuesday, a liner to left was run down in the 1st and a wicked one-hopper was back handed for a 4-3 putout in the 4th. On Wednesday, a he hit a line drive right at the second baseman in the first inning and a line drive headed for the left field corner was snared on a backhander by the third baseman. That 0-for-12 could easily by 6-for-12. I have a feeling this will all even out for Hawn
- Stosh deserved better in the bottom of the eighth inning. An error put the potential go ahead run on base. Then, he absolutely shattered the bat of David Harris. Unfortunately, the ball dropped in for a single. They might still be playing if not for those two plays.
- I’ll be honest, I didn’t think that TJ Mittelstaedt got enough of the ball in the fourth inning to get the ball out of the ballpark. It’s 390′ to the part of the stadium to which he hit it. But, my gosh, it got out. And it was not wind-aided.
